In 2014, Wacker Neuson introduced their first generation of skid steers with the SW24 and SW28 models. In 2017, a redesigned, smaller machine in a midframe size was introduced. Two years later, in 2019, the large frame machines were redesigned, making them the 2nd generation of large frame machines. The first generation models use a Perkins engine, a hydraulic joystick and a lap bar, while the second generation has a Kohler Diesel, an electric joystick, and a seat belt.
